A Powerful Technique to Help You Reset

“To be at peace with ourselves, we need to know ourselves.”

~Caitlin Matthews

Over the years, I have had an on and off relationship with my meditation practice. More often than not, I have found that when I have have not meditated in a while, I react more easily, get caught up in other people’s drama and in general, just feel less grounded and peaceful.

Often it’s when we are most busy and stressed out that it’s hardest to find time to chill out and connect to our peace within (and when we need it most!).

The below guided meditation is one of my favorite ways to reset and find my way back to my self.

What I love about it is it’s easy to do at anytime, anywhere.  It’s one I’ve been doing a lot lately. I hope it provides some comfort at this time of uncertainty.

I’d love to hear what your experiences are with this meditation. You can share a comment in the section below. Thanks!

Awakening Your Power Within

  1. Take a deep, slow breath.
  2. Sit, stand or lie in a comfortable position.
  3. Imagine a beautiful, sparkling, shimmering light a few inches above your head.
  4. Imagine this quiet light slowly stretching, like a sweet child waking up from a deep sleep.
  5. Watch this energy gently unfold and expand with your attention.
  6. Feel this glowing energy gently flowing down into your body through the crown of your head.
  7. Imagine it filling every inch of your body.
  8. Now feel it flowing down through the bottom of your feet, connecting you with the center of the earth.
  9. Sense this light growing bigger and bigger, surrounding your body in a protective bubble. Let it be as big, powerful, beautiful, strong and healing as you want it to be.
  10. Using your imagination, fill it with your favorite colors, words, images, energy and intentions–anything that makes you feel more safe, more positive, more YOU.
  11. Breathe in.
  12. Breathe out.
  13. Feel this energy expand even more, touching others with its positive energy.
  14. Deeply relax.
  15. Come back to the present moment.
  16. Move and stretch.
  17. This peace is always with you. This energy of light and love is who you really are.
